A Hit on Campus

Even though downloading digital music is controversial in Corporate America, it's still a big hit among college students. Whether they do it in their dorm rooms or computer labs, 18- to 24-year-old college kids have made downloading music -- and then burning CDs -- a favorite activity.

Survey of college kids found:

75% have downloaded music

27% download once a week

40% download once a month

90% think creating homemade CDs is "in"
