Germans Are Racing Ahead in Euro E-Tailing

Look out for Germany. Although behind other European countries in Internet penetration, Germans already lead other Europeans in per capita online spending, at about $331. And by 2005, they are expected to spend about $890. British consumers will be second among Europe's online spenders. But Internet-savvy Scandinavians will see their overall importance in Euro e-tailing decrease as other economies, particularly France, catch up.
