These days, the number of U.S. citizens wired to the Net just about outstrips the unwired population. But it's always easier getting the early adopters and users on board. So how do high-tech companies get the unplugged onto the Web? Market researcher IntelliQuest, Inc. asked 133 individuals who do not have Internet access just what might get them online in the future. Surprise: Not many believe it will be shopping.
