Lifestyles of the Online Shopper
Just a bit curious about the lifestyles of the point-and-click shopper? Market researcher Scarborough Research of New York City conducted 85,000 interviews to discover some interesting stats:


Three-quarters of e-shoppers have made purchases through direct mail and almost 20% purchased items from TV shopping shows

Two-thirds of online shoppers have a college degree and hold white-collar jobs

Over one-third have an annual income of more than $75,000

More than half have recently traveled outside the U.S., and more than a third are members of a frequent-flier program

Three-quarters use ATMs regularly, and 64% use mobile phones

In the past 30 days, one-third of online shoppers have eaten at fast-food restaurants 10 or more times

In the past three months, 36% attended a movie three or more times

Almost a quarter are members of health clubs, and 52% swim regularly
