Shoppers Crowd the E-Malls the Day after Christmas
Internet traffic on Dec. 26 rose 21.8%, paralleling brick-and-mortar stores as shoppers rushed to commerce sites in search of post-Christmas specials. Traffic had progressively dropped during the days leading up to Dec. 25, with Christmas Day showing the lowest point of online shopping since the first day of November. Dec. 12 marked the busiest day online during the holiday season, with 4.89 million people flocking to e-stores.
