How Europeans Surf
Most Web statistics focus on the behavior of the Internet's home base, the U.S. But now the surfing habits of e-consumers across the pond are coming under scrutiny. Media Metrix Inc. of New York and MMXI Europe BV of London have released the first-ever European Internet audience measurement results. Focusing on Britain, Germany, and France during October, the study shows that Germans are the biggest Webheads in Europe, chalking up unique visits to 1.2 million pages each month and spending an average of five hours each online.
