Perhaps no company gets bashed more than Wal Mart. They inspire documentaries, satires, musicals, loads of exposes. And their own special section at Barnes & Noble.

In the lemons-to-lemonade department, ceo Lee Scott recently spoke to Stanford B School students about how he listened to the company’s critics to take cues for innovation.
