Proxies=Funny?

Posted by: Jena McGregor on December 18, 2007

As we near the end of year and look toward next year’s proxy season, anyone interested in corporate governance and proxy statements (anyone?) should check out Proxyland, which is written by Wendy, a lawyer-turned-freelance writer with plenty of snark and wit. Like Michelle Leder, her similarly sleuth-y friend over at footnoted.org, Wendy manages to take arcane elements of proxy statements and actually make them funny…if not fun. For instance, in a recent piece about the hearings held recently about potential conflicts of interest among compensation consultants, Wendy somehow managed to work in a reference to John Edwards and his hair, thanks to linking to this blog. Enjoy.

Hi Jena,

Thanks for the shout-out to Proxyland! Always great to hear a knowledgeable journalist is reading the blog (and, even better, laughing at my bad jokes).

Just wanted to note that the link to the post you mentioned seems to have an error in it.

Best,

Wendy
