If you see some rabbis tooling around Wall Street with their Torahs, don’t be surprised. For a few years now, an organization called AISH New York has been offering the captains of industry spiritual deskside consultations. Think of it as spiritual personal training for Wall Streeters.
The good people of AISH report that with the market’s bi polar behavior, the number of c-level execs who have called up for the service has doubled, including executives from Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
The idea is that the executive can ask the rabbi for any kind of spiritual teaching that will both uplift him and help him and his organization navigate current business turbulence.
And, unlike a personal trainer, chef, money manager, driver, nanny, or gardener…..the spiritual trainers are free.
