Happy New Year! As you know, Business Exchange users benefit from the wisdom of the relevant content other users add to the business topics. In recent upgrades, we’ve made it easier and faster to add content. Below are some simple steps:
1. Find the topic in which you want to add content using the search bar at the top of the home page or at the bottom of every other BX page. For example, search and click to the Magazine Industry topic.
2. Enter a valid URL to the relevant content in the box below the tabs and hit the “Add” button.
3. Most times the content is pulled in from the site you are adding, giving you the view below. (If all looks good, you can add your reaction (optional) and then click the “Add” button to complete this action.)
4. If you want to change the headline or description, you can click the yellow edit button to open the edit functions. Also if the content from the link didn’t get pulled in you will see this automatically with the headline and description blank for you to enter. Make changes or enter a relevant headline and description. You can also add a reaction before hitting the “Add” button to finish your action.
As you probably noticed, you no longer have the option to add this content to multiple topics in this step. By adding a new step, we now allow you to also add content added by other users and that was pulled in from our feeds to other relevant topics. Underneath the article entry is a new “add to topics” link, which allows you to do just that.
Use the search bar as you would the main topic search on BX to find additional topics. You still have a limit of five (5) topics.
If you mistakenly hit enter for a topic, you can remove it before adding by clicking the “x” next to the name. You must hit the “Add” button to complete this action.
Now that you see how simple it is, go add some great content! If you have any questions about this feature or anything else on the site, please send us feedback.
