Back to School

It seems like the back-to-school items hit retail stores particularly early this year. For some it’s a relief to go back to “business as usual,” with the kids fully occupied throughout the day. While for others, the back-to-school season presents a new opportunity — the idea of a fresh start.

With the Unemployment numbers continuing to rise, more people are looking to advanced degrees to give them a leg up in a competitive environment and to bide them some time to weather the economic storm. It’s been widely reported that Business School applications were up this year and more people are enrolling in Executive Education programs.

Whether you are looking to get an advanced degree or to follow the latest trends in the education arena, Business Exchange has a topic for you.

The government’s attempt to help drive Education Reform is covered in the Education Stimulus topic. As Higher Education struggles to cut cost, more Distance Learning and E-Learning options are being considered. There are also topics on the Business of Higher Education and Education Technology.

If going to back to school is in on your mind (or you are just interested in researching), BX features dozens of topics on the top business schools (you can search for them by school name) and one that tracks all of the Business School Rankings. MBA Admissions gives you the information you need to stand out among the crowd of other applicants and Student Loans provides the latest news on how to fund your education.

As the summer heat prevails, take the time to do some research on these topics. If there is one you don’t see but think is important, please suggest it. (Check out our previous post for instructions.)
