With the Fourth of July upon us, it seems appropriate to highlight some of the American-focused topics on Business Exchange.
History was made this year with the inauguration of our first African American President — Barack Obama. BX users are keeping track of his actions in topics like Obama’s Stimulus Plan, Obama’s Economic Policy and Obama’s Healthcare Reform. The President’s Supreme Court nominee, Sonia Sotomayor, even sparked a topic on Business and the Supreme Court. Capital Hill activities also inspired topics on U.S. Tech Policy, U.S. Healthcare System and U.S. Energy Policy.
Appropriately, the U.S. Economy has remained among the top 10 most active topics all year, as we get more news everyday on the U.S. Financial Crisis and hopes of Economic Recovery. The U.S. Auto Sales and U.S. Automakers topics have a strong following of those closely watching the news surrounding the Big Three. Other interesting topics include U.S. Manufacturing, U.S. Retail Sales and U.S. Competitiveness.
So in honor of Independence Day, take a look at some of these topics, or suggest a topic of your own. (For info on how to do that, please read this post.) As always, if you have any thoughts, comments, concerns or questions, please send us feedback.
