WILL JOHN ELWAY FOLLOW IN JACK KEMPS FOOTSTEPS?

Edited by Douglas Harbrecht

Hey, John Elway, you just won the Super Bowl, where are you going next?

No, not Disneyland. Try Congress. With Republican Dan Schaefer retiring as the represenative from Colorado's Sixth Congressional District, rumors are rampant that Elway will trade pigskin for politics.

Elway, a Republican, has met with House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) to discuss a political career. A candidacy by the future Hall of Fame quarterback is likely to bench other Republican hopefuls, and he'd be a formidable foe to any Democrat.
