H. Lawrence Culp Jr. has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Danaher Corp. since May 2001. During the past five years, Mr. Culp served in general management positions within Danaher Corp., including as Chief Operating Officer from July 2000 to May 2001. Prior to joining Danaher, Mr. Culp held positions in Accenture, previously Andersen Consulting. He has been Non-Executive Director of GlaxosmithKline PLC since July 7, 2003 and its Member of Compensation Committee since May 2004. Mr. Culp was appointed as a member of the remuneration committee of GlaxoSmithkline on January 1, 2004. He has been a Director of Danaher Corp. since 2001.
