Anadarko Petroleum
James T. Hackett has been president and chief executive officer of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, a company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production, since December 2003. Mr. Hackett has spent his entire career in the energy business in a variety of management positions and has brought considerable experience to Anadarko. Prior to joining Anadarko, he served as president and chief operating officer of Devon Energy Corporation since its merger with Ocean Energy, Inc. in April 2003 until December 3, 2003. Mr. Hackett served as president and chief executive officer of Ocean Energy, Inc. from March 1999 to April 2003 and Chairman of the Board from January 2000 to April 2003. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Seagull Energy Corporation from September 1998 until March 1999 and Chairman of the Board from January 1999 to March 1999, until its merger with Ocean Energy, Inc. Mr. Hackett also served as an Executive Vice President of Pan Energy from 1996 until its merger with Duke Power, after which he served as Group President of Duke Energy until September 1998. From 1990 through 1995, Mr. Hackett worked for NGC Corporation, now known as Dynegy Inc., serving as Senior Vice President and President of the Trident Division in 1995. From January 1996 until June 1997, Mr. Hackett served as Executive Vice President of PanEnergy Corporation and was responsible for integrated international energy development, domestic power operations, and various corporate staff functions. From June 1997 until September 1998, Mr. Hackett served as President - Energy Services Group of Duke Energy Corporation, and was responsible for the non-regulated operations of Duke Energy, including energy trading, risk management, and international midstream energy infrastructure development and engineering services. He served as Group President of Duke Energy's unregulated operations and Executive Vice President of PanEnergy from January 1996 to September 1998. Mr. Hackett serves as President of the Houston Grand Opera and serves as the chair for the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital capital campaign. He is the Chairman of the Domestic Petroleum Council, a board member of the American Petroleum Institute and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Hackett has been a Director of Kaiser Aluminum Corp. since May 2000. He has been a Director of Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation ("KACC") since June 2000 and serves as its Member of Compensation Committee. He has been a Director of Temple Inland Inc., a holding company engaged in wood, pulp, paper and fiber products, and financial services, since 2000. He has been a Director of Fluor Corp. since 2001 and is a Member of the Audit, Organization and Compensation Committees. Mr. Hackett serves as a Director of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and Ocean Energy Inc. He served as a Director of New Jersey Resources Corp. since 1999. He resigned from Devon Energy Corp. on December 3, 2003.
