The entrepreneurship program has an excellent two-quarter class series called "Creating A Company" where teams are made in the class, business ideas are shaped, capital is raised, and the business is fully operational – all in two quarters. Many big-name people and valuable resources are used in this program for the success of the teams.

It did a poor job of preparing me for my choice of career, which is non-profit.

The business school puts too much emphasis on group work. Many students work full time and do not have time to meet with different groups for different classes. I have worked in the financial world, and I feel that it is a little extreme for what is required of us students.

The business school is very old, and many of the classrooms are not equipped with the necessary equipment needed for presentations, lectures, etc.

For some reason, the school frowns upon investment banking. Only one bank recruited on campus, and it was a regional boutique paying less than $60,000 a year. I had to make my own connections and get out to New York for Wall Street interviews. Most of my teachers have never even heard of Credit Suisse, which is where I ultimately accepted an offer.

Seattle is a hub of Fortune 500 companies, and the fact that I, as a student, have the opportunity to meet with CEOs and be exposed to that level of business strategy, is invaluable to my career.
