The connections you make at St. Louis University are great if you plan to work in the St. Louis market. The university does not seem to reach outside of this region to encourage outside employer recruitment.

My teachers were amazing and worth every penny. Every other aspect of my undergraduate business experience has been unimpressive. My professors have helped me make connections in various areas of the business world, but I do not include that in the work that the advisors have done, which was lacking. The marketing department is ridiculous. I feel as if I have wasted my time in that major because every class I've taken is a bunch of "fluff." There is hardly any quantitative analysis. The finance department, however, is a different story. I've learned 10 times as much in finance as I have in marketing.

Being in a Jesuit school, I feel a strong sense of community in the business school. Cook Hall has an atruim in which many students meet to work on projects or socialize. This sense of community has developed my sense of teamwork, which will be used later in life. My freshman year the idea of transferring to another University crossed my mind. However, the extra-curricular business programs kept me at the school - namely the Service Leadership Certificate Program.
