Everything is top notch about Sloan Undergrad, but the professors are not good lecturers for the most part and do not explain much of the material very well. Too much of the learning is self study, which leaves 90% of the class confused on the topics.

One of the best parts about the Sloan undergraduate experience is that you can take MBA courses and interact with business school students. For me, that made "course 15" much more enjoyable and allowed me to network with students who already had industry experience. In the end, I made many contacts and have both given and received job advice from my MBA classmates.

Sloan has an outstanding reputation, and it has earned that reputation. The professors are amazing. The undergraduate program helps you connnect with alumni (for example, the MIT Alumni Association sponsors the MIT Externship Program each January) and network with companies that are recruiting on campus.

I feel that MIT, in general, pays less attention to its undergraduates because of its focus on the graduate school. However, the Sloan School is an exception. I will essentially take all of my business classes in the graduate school, and will nearly graduate with the academic equivalent of an MBA.

Undergraduate applicants do not apply directly to the business program at MIT, so I did not choose to major in business until the end of my freshman year.
