Pros: Excellent reputation with world-class companies, job placement is helped through required co-op work. Professors are all very helpful. Classes are generally small. Cons: Being a technical school, social scene is somewhat "nerdy." The high male-to-female ratio with a fast-paced quarter system - as well as cold, snowy weather - causes a "corporate" atmosphere.

RIT has a well-rated business program despite its reputation as a tech school. However sometimes I question my choice at RIT given the better social aspects at other schools in the region.

The college of business is currently in a transitional phase. The dean has recently retired and much of the staff is well beyond their prime. Younger teachers have been hired to rejuvenate the college, but the old guard is holding back progress significantly.

I am so happy with Rochester Institute of Technology. I think it's a great school and it has a wonderful college of business with great professors, easily accessible resources, and technolgy.

RIT focuses on academic and career training. Do not think you will get anything else from this school because a social life is difficult to obtain, and the school does not help students enjoy their time in RIT.
