I feel the Smeal College of Business does a great job and has great contacts for finance, accounting, and supply chain majors. I am a marketing major and they are absolutely horrible with getting us connections.

PSU took me from a farm girl to a well-rounded business student. I came in knowing nothing about the business world, and I now feel very confident to compete with anyone to attain a career in business.

At our school, we recently began running a mutual fund type investment portfolio with about $2.3 million of investor's money, which I believe has made Penn State able to compete with the likes of Harvard and Princeton in terms of getting a business education.

The career fair in the fall is great. However, I would say around 90% of the firms that recruit are aimed at finance and economics majors. They have a limited number of firms recruiting marketing majors.

Alpha Kappa Psi, as well as the other business fraternities, really help you become a better business student and person in general. I can honestly say that some of the most important learning I have had at my time at PSU, has been through this organization. I have taken positions of leadership, interacted with my peers, and formed bonds with people who I will work beside in the future. The ability to communicate is far more important in the business field.

I feel that much more could be done for international students who seek employment within the U.S. Career services is great but only for citizens. International students are helpless.
