Some of the classes were not academically challenging. Sometimes, the teachers are too lenient and there seems to be a disconnect between what you learn and what happens in the real world. The college price is very high compared to the number of courses taken.

The co-op experience is the most valuable opportunity that Northeastern has to offer. I feel that it has put me a few steps ahead of the game.

The co-op program is a failure. The program stimulates the unskilled students mostly, the “yes-man” types. Companies that hire are mainly investment banks that hire only for back operations, not front jobs. It’s an insult when they tell us, “We hire from Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Dartmouth etc. for analyst positions, traders etc.”

The Northeastern study abroad program is run through the arts and sciences school, and does nothing for business majors.

Northeastern University is left out of the top lists because of its five-year program and its effect on graduation rate. NU provides a top education with the best work experience any school can provide. I have friends in Boston College, Villanova, and NYU, and they don't even come close to my experience.

The co-op program hands-down has been an outstanding experience. I have friends who have graduated from "higher-ranked" business programs, but have lacked connections and experience. While they could have pursued these things on their own, in reality, most don't.
