Maryland is great value for your money. It is possible to get into the Wall Street firms from a public school such as Maryland because of its top-25 business program and strong alumni base.

The only thing lacking is that many of the recruiters and job areas focsed on at the business school are accounting and finance. It would be nice to diversify it a bit for those of us who are neither of those majors.

I regret my choice to attend this university. I wasn't able to add an accounting major to my finance major when my peers were able to do so. In addition, I was denied access to an entrepeneurship program. As a senior, I am all but denied access to my desired investment banking field. [Those companies] don't even bother recruiting here.

I only applied to the University of Maryland and the Wharton School [at the University of Pennsylvania], so it's easy to say that I pretty much settled after I got my scholarship. I love going to college here, but I think I put myself into a bit of a hole compared to my friends at better schools.

The QUEST (Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams) program is a three-year honors program that has been the greatest opportunity for me in the business school.

I have had a positive experience with most of the student body, professors, and TAs. Overall, the university was inexpensive with scholarships, aid, and part-time work. I was able to finish in three and a half years and expect to earn $80,000 after a bonus.
