Being in the Business Honors Program, I'm able to have a voice with administrators on various issues that I feel are important. Implementing this program was a great idea and has allowed students to have a greater voice. Our current project is working on a Code of Ethics, and we are learning the various challenges in implementing a code to be universally accepted by everyone in the College of Business.

Our curriculum is focused mainly on the mathematics of business. I am uncertain how the program has actually prepared me for the real world, but my feeling is that I will be missing some vital concepts. Anyone can learn how to crunch numbers, but it takes a certain caliber of person to be effective in real-world business. Tweaking the program to enhance student's personal effectiveness would make this university one of the best.

I am a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, and joining this group has helped me both professionally and socially. Members offered me help with picking classes, resumes, and other skills I need to be a successful businesswoman in the future.

Our accounting program is truly great. Extremely qualified, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic professors make the classroom learning environment fun and enjoyable. We are taught how to survive in the real world. We develop skills that will help us in the long run and in all regards, not just accounting, but rather come to understand the world of business as a whole.

Being a marketing major in a school that is so focused on accounting can be hard. A lot of the companies that come to our school are much more interested in an accounting major than a marketing major.

I’ve received many e-mails requesting me to interview with companies. Also, when I interviewed with five accounting firms for an internship, I received four job offers. I know that this occurred due to the opportunities I have had at the school.
