It is unfortunate that the majority of business classes at the University of Florida are Internet based, because it prevents students from being able to get to know their professors one on one. A student could go an entire semester without ever having seen a professor in person.

UF's business program is unique because of its size. Classes are taught online, and there are commonly over 1,000 students in a given class. This way of teaching is efficient but has many problems. Most students never interact with their professors or classmates. The college, however, offers a tremendous amount of out-of-classroom activities. There are many clubs, professional fraternities, advising centers, etc., but not all students use these resources.

The business school enrolls 4,000 to 5,000 students. The majority of classes are taught on an electronic platform, where you can watch class at any time if you did not choose to attend live. All of our exams are administered at night and mainly consist of multiple-choice questions. Students just need to understand that at such a large school this is how things work and you have to strive to do well.

The University of Florida is staffed with some of the most talented professors in the country. My experience with the marketing department has been exceptional.

I think that the Career Resource Center could have done a better job to provide a greater diversity of firms during the Career Showcases. Most of the firms targeted toward business students were in the fields of accounting, finance, or retail. Other firms, in fields like marketing and advertising, would have been greatly appreciated.

No complaints. The business is exceptional in preparing students for the job market and providing opportunities for on-campus involvement, studies abroad, and internships.
