The co-op program is an integral part of the Drexel education. In fact, it may be more important in many ways than classes. Not only do you learn to apply your classroom knowledge to the workplace, but also your workplace experience to the classroom. Most top MBA programs accept students with substantial (about three to six years) work experience in large part because they have more to offer than a student fresh out of college, and Drexel students have the ability to get 18 months of work experience before graduation and apply that to their undergraduate class work, giving the classes at Drexel a more practical, and less theoretical, more graduate-like atmosphere.

The Career Development Center does not effectively communicate with students regarding the availability of jobs on their online service.

My experience with the fraternity system at Drexel has had a far greater impact on my professional and academic career than has Drexel's business program. Much of my future success will be due to my extracurricular involvements, and not entirely due to how the business program has prepared me.

Drexel University is a good school, however, because of the trimester schedule there are only 10 weeks in a semester. This takes away from the students’ ability to build a relationship with their professors. Another result of only having 10 weeks of classes is that all of the work required in one semester seems to be heavier during the second half because midterms are more often than not, not in the middle of the semester.

Drexel encourages students to network with alumni. There’s a list of alumni who are willing to be contacted by current and prospective students.
