Although a part of the University of South Florida System, USF St Petersburg (USFSP) is separately accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International. Considered one of the loveliest urban campuses in the nation, USFSP is an anchor institution in the St Petersburg Bayboro District featuring hospitals, research institutions, museums and performing arts centers.
