Study abroad program description:

In addition to the London Business Semester for Business, St. Thomas sponsors more than 130 programs in more than 40 countries around the world. Each year, over 800 students take advantage of the opportunity to study in almost every region of the world in semester/full year programs, or in short-term programs during January or Summer.

Volunteer opportunities description:

All business students complete Business Learning Through Service (40 hours community service) as a requirement for graduation. Last year, students provided service atover 300 non-profit organizations in the United States and abroad, providing over 32,000 hours of service. In addition to individual student projects, group projects included organizing and hosting the 7th annual silent auction for Listening House (a drop-in homeless shelter open during the day), work with AccountAbility MN preparing income tax returns for low-income community members and new immigrants, work with Junior Achievement, and alternative Spring Breaks traveling to several locations completing service projects. A Board of BUSN 200 stduents also selected and awarded grands to five lical non-profit organizations, made possible through a $30,000 anonymous grant.
