- Study abroad programs: Anderson students have an abundance of study abroad opportunities, including faculty-led programs and exchanges. Exchange programs allow qualified students to earn Anderson credit and pay UNM tuition while studying abroad in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Faculty-led programs have been offered in Mexico and Italy. Significant financial resources have been made available to support study abroad programs and to provide internships including scholarships for short-term and long-term programs.

- Volunteer opportunities: Accounting students assist ARCA clients with their tax returns each year. Beta Alpha Psi members participate in the annual “Doggie Dash and Dawdle”, a fundraiser that supports the Animal Human Society of New Mexico; this group also regularly volunteers at the Road Runner Food Bank. The Net Impact Chapter supports a campus-wide event to recycle e-waste.
