The facilities are unprecedented and allow for the highest level of study possible. The program's educators are extremely highly distinguished, but still treat everyone equally and fairly.
There could be an increase number of the types of classes that can be available. IE, it would be nice if there were more supply chain classes. In addition, the school could do a better job in getting more companies to come out to the career fair. Even though Case is more of an engineering school, it would be nice to see more options for business majors at the career fair.
The small class size allows for more direct contact with professors. This also gives students a better opportunity to directly communicate with companies when they are on campus.
Less arbitrary teamwork. I understand giving students the experience of having to figure out how to work in teams because "employers want it," but a lot of times, this leads to students (many of whom are international, surprisingly) earning the degrees on the backs of other students. I have felt taken advantage of in some group situations because I will do all the work to make sure we get an A, but I have had so many unanswered emails that I just let go. I actually did not give a group member credit for our final report when he made little to no attempt to answer any emails over a semester-long portfolio management project.
Not only the business school, the entire university gives students the ability to take any classes throughout the different schools. This is one of the reasons why I came here, and I believe it allows students to diversify and have an understanding of different fields.
Our program could benefit from more challenging classes, stricter professors, more classes in sustainability, design, and strategy at the undergraduate level, as well as better preparation during the freshman and sophomore year to expose students to what jobs are available, and what majors are needed to work at those jobs.
There are a lot of international students, so you get to interact and learn to work with individuals from various cultures.
I wish the business program would offer more classes in operations and information systems, however I understand that the school does not offer those classes yet because of the lack of interested students.
The faculty is simply superb. They have all worked in the field and teach us cutting-edge financial skills so we will be well-prepared.
