About Eccles School of Business

Founded in 1917 in Salt Lake City, the David Eccles School of Business educates nearly 3,500 students a year and boasts more than 31,000 alumni. Students manage a university venture fund of $18.3 million, the largest of its kind in the nation. In January 2012, the school opened its new $72 million Spencer F. Eccles Business Building, offering students a cutting-edge learning environment packed with state-of-the-art technology. Its entrepreneurship program is consistently ranked as among the best in the nation by the Princeton Review, and its Full-Time MBA program made the biggest jump up the rankings of U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 rankings of graduate schools. The most unique aspects of my part-time MBA program are being able to finish the program in two years and still get to work at the same time. In addition, I appreciate all my classmates' determination of being able to be fully attentive in the four hours classes in spite of having worked an entire day.

Technology Improvements
  • Since 2011 the David Eccles School of Business has introduced 18 new instructional rooms including a 250+ capacity auditorium, each with at least two projection systems (the auditorium has three). Every room has a full state of the art AMX audio/visual support system that incorporates touch panel control technology at the podium in every classroom, and ceiling mounted document cameras. Three of those instructional rooms are wired and equipped for lecture capture, another flat configurable classroom has ceiling drop microphones, multiple fixed video cameras and a mobile control cart that students utilize for class recordings and p
