-The Walton MBA has exposed me to many subject areas such as finance, human resources, and marketing. For the majority, each professor in the program displayed high competency within their subject areas.
-The program is totally designed for working professionals; the faculty are very willing to work with you and accommodate any legitimate needs for flexibility.
-I would have liked to grade the people in my group. Sometimes I had to carry some of them through.
-This program was an excellent resource for my current career. I have been able to make substantial changes to my area of business, thus creating significant efficiencies to our business model. I mentor several people with the knowledge from the MBA program and have encouraged over a dozen people to enter in the program over the upcoming years. Our career advancement is directly tied to our business performance, so I have encouraged others to enter the program to gain a competitive advantage I have been able to utilize. The curriculum is very well aligned with our business model, so I encourage colleagues with high aptitude to the program.
-Some workloads can be overwhelming at times when both classes have deadlines on the same day. It would be nice to have professors work together so that workloads are not so intense.
-The program was very challenging, but also flexible enough to make it feasible to those that are still working full time. The networking possibilities were extremely valuable due to the quality of the candidates. There is a high concentration of satellite offices of Fortune 500 companies in the immediate area to support the Walmart Stores, Inc corporate office. Therefore, the quality of the students is very high who work for very high caliber corporations.
-I believe that the study abroad offered through the program could be better organized and informative.
-After 9 years in the Consumer Products industry, I was not sure how much would knowledge would be acquired through my MBA. I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism represented in the material, students and faculty. The program greatly exceeded my expectations and made me a stronger asset to my company.
-I thought the program could be extended another year. I understand that this is very difficult to sell, both in terms of attractiveness to prospective students and cost, but the two summer semesters of the program were almost too concentrated. This was unfortunate, because our summer courses were vital to the program, and could have used the additional weeks that encompass the fall/spring semesters. It got to be so much work that students had no break and got burned out quickly, which affected the quality of work. This is by no means a serious issue, but something that has the opportunity for improvement. Other than that, I couldn't be happier of my decision to enroll in the program. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the program to other hard-working and intelligent professionals, and cannot wait for this degree to appreciate over time.
-It was a great opportunity to get a well-rounded education while maintaining a vigorous work schedule. It was also a good way to network with others in the Walmart community.
-I think the summer sessions should only have one class and extend the program one semester. Additionally, the teachers that really understand the mixed delivery program need to better educate their peers on how to effectively deliver material to students.
-Firstly, this University's professors and administrators are extremely professional and take their jobs very seriously. Secondly, I really enjoyed and benefited from the holistic structure of this program. Finally, and most importantly, this course has spurred my innovative curiosity which I really hope will pay dividends, one day, to society.
-A little more consistency in the administrative and organizational elements of the course instruction; most of the professors do this well, but there are a few opportunities for improvement overall.
-I have actually already talked two of my coworkers into attending the program. The focus on retail and the broad education in all fields of business have provided me with a well-rounded background that I can build my career on. In addition, the network of well-respected companies represented by other students in the class provides a great advantage to career opportunities and connections.
-The Walton College part time MBA program was a very rewarding experience for me. I feel that although it was quite a lot of work, it was manageable even while working full time. I benefited greatly not only from my classes and professors, but also feel that I made long lasting friendships and connections with future business leaders.
