-The Merage School offers students an intimate environment in which to adapt, learn, and grow, all the while offering a broad curriculum taught by an exceptional faculty. Class sizes rarely exceed 100 students, and I believe this allows for the development of stronger relationships.
-Not all of the professors are the same for the full time program compared to the fully employed program. Allowing students in the full time program the opportunity to take classes from the same top professors would have been better.
-Small program means career services and support services can spend a lot of attention on each student and you get to know all your classmates. More close-knit than other b-schools. Lots of good professors and location in OC is a big plus since lots of entrepreneurship and large investment community.
-We need more time to build a strong network of alumni. We need employers to give us a chance so that we can show them the strength of UCI. We need our students to accept higher paying jobs so that our salary average will be pushed up. It is unfortunate that companies use average salary data to determine the salary range for the next group of students.
-The small program in a large campus setting gives you access to great professors and great resources in an intimate environment. You also get very close to all of your classmates.
-I would like to see more interaction with local businesses within the classes. Also, I would like to see more classes and projects that span multiple departments. In particular I would like to see more projects between the business, law and engineering schools.
-The small program size gives each student personal attention from professors and the career center. The school also has high visibility and a strong reputation in the community.
-Recruit more experienced and accomplished professors to teach courses. Attract a more diverse base of large, fortune 500 companies to recruit on-campus.
-Our program has a very personalized and customized feel. This can be attributed to the small class size and the attention that all faculty and administrator take towards developing the students. I feel that it was an environment that I could maximize my development over the course of a two-year program.
-I think the number of students could be increased with relatively small impact to the personal experience. This would help increase the network and increase reputation.
-Excellent opportunities to engage in experiential learning. Competitions and special programs like the Polaris Investment Competition allow students to engage in real life decision-making processes and outcomes.
