The program is an excellent way of opening up career opportunities and is a great experience in and of itself. -- Finance
The Rotman School is very good at providing tools for the new business environment, however a lack of an international network prevents graduates from finding a suitable job. I would advise my colleagues to pursue the MBA at a school that provides a more extensive network of alumni in different countries that allows Rotman graduates to find moe prospects for suitable positions. In the end, employers look at your experience, your network, and other criteria, more than they look at your MBA degree. -- Finance
I feel that I've made some extremely valuable connections with very bright classmates and professors by attending this program and that it has helped me immensely. I think Rotman offers the right balance of competitiveness and camaraderie to make it a challenging yet enjoyable program. The program has also paid off handsomely by preparing me for employment for a role which I've wanted since undergrad. -- Finance
Excellent program that will only get better as Toronto grows into a more influential city on the global stage. The focus on thinking rather than pure mechanics (which are still more than sufficiently covered) really sets it apart. -- Consulting
Overall I am very happy with my choice of attending the MBA program at Rotman. The school is set to double in size over the next few years and I feel that this will add to their international exposure and reputation. -- Consulting
I would encourage people to go to Rotman if their primary goal is to start a career in Canada. Rotman is the primary reason that I (an international student with no prior work experience outside the Philippines) wanted to enter the Canadian job market at a higher level than what my previous experience would have gotten me. The only reason I do not rate this higher is because I'm not sure how "recognizable" Rotman is outside of Canada. I know it can leverage the University of Toronto brand in Asia (where that is big). But I'm not sure how strong its brand recognition with employers is in the US or London, as only a handful of classmates of mine got jobs in these locations. -- Consulting
My MBA experience allowed me to interact with numerous high level executives from both Canada and the U.S. as equals. I was able to meet and speak with people like Warren Buffett, CEOs of recognizable Canadian Corporations, and top financial industry leaders - all within the intimacy of a small class experience (except for Mr. Buffett of course). I am no longer held speechless by the presence of such individuals as I've learned to look beyond their titles and interact with them to deal with common interests and the matters at hand. -- Consulting
The 2nd year at Rotman presents an excellent learning opportunity as the electives are taught by some very talented faculty members. The class sizes are smaller and the experience is more intimate. -- Consulting
I appreciated the breadth of electives and the quality of professors (in terms of their research and teaching methodologies) that Rotman provided. I also liked the mix of case study, theory, and exposure to practioners, and thought this maximized my learning experience. -- Finance
It was a wonderful experience to do a world class MBA from one of the best b-schools outside the U.S. Although young, Rotman is on the right track. It needs to beef up the career services that it offers the students. Otherwise, the quality of education, location, and the course content were excellent. Moreover, the Canadian Immigration Department has made it easier for international students to live and work in Canada. This will obviously increase the regional diversity of future batches of Rotman graduates. -- Finance
The professors are unbelievably dedicated to the students and to learning. Rotman has many professors who have years of practical experience to compliment the professors with theoretical expertise. The student body is involved in many aspects of the school both academically and in extracurricular activities. The various programs are united through these involvements, which forms a very tight knit community and strong network of peers. The deans are dedicated to bettering the school and it is visible in everything they do and their involvement with the faculty, staff, and students. -- Consulting
I chose Rotman because it was one of the most highly regarded schools that gave me the freedom to choose what courses I wanted. I did not want to be forced to select a "major" and sacrifice the opportunity to take other courses that I had interest in. However, different people have different needs and goals. I would be doing my friends and colleagues a disservice if I simply and unequivocally recommend Rotman to them. Therefore, I would only recommend the school if I can determine that their needs could be met at the school. -- Consulting
I think as far as MBA education the Integrative Thinking program at Rotman certainly is on the right track. It really is a big component of future business education (IMO). -- Marketing
The MBA program allowed me to switch into a career that I wanted at a speed much faster than if I were working in an industry hoping for an eventual promotion. -- Consulting
The Rotman MBA is very tailored toward finance and consulting, and does not offer an especially well rounded education. I would only recommend the school to those wishing to specialize in those areas. -- Marketing
High quality teaching, good networking opportunity, and excellent reputation. -- Marketing
Between all available options in Canada, I believe Rotman is the strongest program with best students. I make my assessment from the data (students here land better jobs for the most part) and from my interactions with MBA students in Canada. -- Marketing
I was amazed by the quality of the education I received particularly with regard to in class lectures. Not only was the academic acumen of all of my professors tremendous, but it was obvious that the School placed great emphasis on having professors become skilled lecturers. As well, the quality of intellect and experience of my class-mates made me feel proud to be counted among them. -- Investment Banking
