      • -There is no substitute for the resources Queen's provides for professional development and preparation for the job market. In addition to all the business skills acquired, which were numerous, I feel I am simply a more polished person. I would encourage colleagues to enroll in the same program because they will emerge as better, more professional candidates regardless of their field.

        -The Queen's MBA helped me grow both professionally and personally. It's not just about learning how to do business, it is also about how to interact and work with diverse people in a professional environment, which I think is the most important thing to learn before venturing into the business world.

        -In order to achieve my career goal, it was imperative that I pursue an MBA. I expected to learn analytical techniques which would help me forge compelling arguments behind why a business opportunity makes financial sense. Not only did I gain analytical techniques from my Queen’s MBA experience, I gained a strong understanding and practice of the intricacies of multidisciplinary functions, such as marketing, finance, and strategy, all of which are crucial in making business decisions as a future business leader.

        -With Queen's MBA methodology of team-based and case-based training, one can learn a great deal not only about the principles of business but also about improving soft skills and people management.

        -I would like to emphasize the team experience at Queen's. It is unlike any other that I know of. The first week of the program is totally dedicated to team-related topics. Each team has its own office and a team facilitator who helps ensure the evolution of the teams throughout the year. In addition, team members take turns in different roles and 50 percent of the grades in every class are team-based. Anyone can pick up a book and learn stats--turning a diverse group of people, who have never worked with each other, into a high performing team is only learned through practice.

        -The professors were the best in their respective fields and were open for discussion outside of class on any issue that you wanted to discuss. Overall, Queen's has created the right mix of courses, professors, students, and office staff to create a great MBA program.

        -The administrative staff at Queen’s were the best people I have ever met. They went out of their way to help each student. They would provide the lecture notes before each class, provide text books, and also take the time to find out more about each student’s personal stories. Their attitude and helpful nature is one of the best aspects of completing an MBA at Queen's.

        -The program is too focused on academic achievements, an alumni base is practically non-existent, the program seems to be totally aloof of the parent university, other programs--particularly the commerce programs--seem to take precedence, the career center makes big claims before the program starts, however once the program starts you can easily make out the lack of direction of the career center.

        -People coming from my background, who do not have relevant industry experience, are career changers, and/or are trying to figure out their future career direction, it makes no sense for them to enroll in the 1-year MBA program which has no scope for internship.

        -The Queen's Program is truly an experience. For those looking for a general management degree, and an exceptional experience, I would recommend Queen's 100 percent. For those looking to do more specific MBA degrees, such as Finance, I would suggest Queen's as a great option, but inform them there is no major in the program--everyone comes out with the same degree.
        I know the names of all 108 people in my program and would do anything within my power for any one of them. This program is intense and challenging, but it also teaches you to rely on your neighbors and colleagues. I've talked to a number of friends at other institutions and they can't say the same.

        -Definitely recommended: the quality of the Queen's program is extremely high and the diversity of students adds a lot of value. It only takes one year to complete the program, and therefore, taking the tuition into account, it is still much more affordable compared to the top programs in the United States, and even in Canada.

        -In an MBA program, I was looking for a brand name, networks for the future, great teachers, team learning and development of leadership skills apart from the usual business education. I got all of that and more. It is a life changing experience and the brand is recognized everywhere.
