-Smeal is a family. Everyone wants to see everyone succeed even when there is friendly healthy competition. These lifelong connections is what sets this program apart. We have great faculty, brilliant students to learn from and very helpful admin staff. These factors help greatly!
-Career placement office should be more proactive.
-PSU has a comprehensive approach to business communications, extensive group work with individuals from varied cultures/experiences, an outstanding/required international business experience (global immersion), and a small MBA program at one of the nation's largest universities.
-I think the manner in which the curriculum is presented could be looked at more carefully, as well as finding more faculty who take as much pride in their teaching as they do their research. Many are great, but it could be better.
-Our program is unique because of the close, tight-knit, nature of the community. Professors and students are all working together to make us the best educated, most experienced and ethical professionals.
-I think the makeup of the class could be better. There were a lot of young people that did not offer much to the classroom. Some of the young people are also a little immature and use the MBA almost as another year of college to drink. It would be better if they limited the students to have a couple years experience.
-I liked the international immersion program, however, the assessment of our performance was controversial amongst the class. I also believe the Applied Professional Experience (APEX) course is a unique experience that sets PSU apart from its peers.
-I'd like to see more students from foreign countries besides India and China.
-The small class size allows for personalized attention from the minute I submitted a request form for program information, until the minute I pressed send on my application- and this continued throughout the entire MBA experience, both inside the classroom and out. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that students feel comfortable so that we can excel.
