Graduate Comments

IESE is committed to delivering excellence in every detail. Apart from the outstanding faculty, excellent career perspectives, and teaching method, IESE really focuses on people and focuses on personal development. -- Finance

At IESE more than 70% of the students come from 50+ different countries. This international peer network provides a great learning platform at IESE. Barcelona is a great city to live in. -- Investment Banking

The atmosphere in IESE is great, the relationships in the class and with the teachers are very close (due to small size). Also the fact that you can take classes in Spanish with some of the best teachers in the world is wonderful. The program really makes you think about the human beings that populate your firms - something that in other MBAs gets lost in the mass of things to learn. -- Investment Banking

If I were to do my IESE MBA again, I would do it in a heartbeat. I really enjoyed my time at IESE. I learned a lot, especially the skills that would help me advance in my chosen field. It also provided me with a lot of opportunities, and allowed me to get the job/ career shift that I wanted. I also enjoyed my time with my classmates and faculty. Barcelona is a very good city to live in and enjoy the MBA. -- Finance

IESE was quite a fruitful experience. -- Consulting

IESE has a really strong focus on the human aspect of the MBA. According to exchange students who come, that is the case. They also say that the average work load is higher than in the school where they are from. -- Operations

IESE created a sense of community due to the relatively small annual intake of 220 students. First year classes were 70 students, while second year classes ranged from 17-70 students in attendance. Small class sizes, small campus, numerous social/sport/professional clubs to participate in make for a very close knit community. -- Investment Banking

I am very happy with the experience of the MBA, both personally and professionally speaking. After having met people of other business schools I think IESE was a very good choice for the reasons I explained about why I would recommend the MBA to another person. -- Finance

In the end unfortunately I can't say I'm satisfied with my MBA experience. I felt like I could have achieved similar job results at another top European school such as Cambridge, and I'm disappointed I did not enjoy my experience with a feeling of loyalty with to my school. -- Finance

IESE Business School gives an excellent opportunity to become a part of a very close community. From the learning prospective Professors are great, very attentive, and willing to spend extra time with students during private appointments on request. Lots of business leaders come to give speeches on Campus, a networking opportunity. The school is very strong in the Spanish job market. Less strong in International though. -- Finance

IESE Business School is a very good school, but its name is better recognized in Europe. Depending on one's career strategy, one may find it easier to go to an American school. In addition, the current exchange rate US$ x € favors American schools. -- Consulting

Anyone can model the costs, benefits, and lost earnings to justify not going to business school on a financial earnings case, I know I did. However in doing this, one loses sight of the importance of the friendships, networks, and learning experiences that are not captured in the tuition costs and lost earnings model. I now have very close friends for life. Friends that I could call for job advice, entrepreneurial ideas, just catching up, or exciting worldly vacations. At IESE, one cannot 'model' the impact of these friendships and close community that develops over the length of the program. This advantage of IESE single-handedly makes their program the penultimate MBA experience. -- Finance

The case method program provides close to real life learning experience, at the same time making class discussions more interactive. The international class diversity is a great experience. -- Consulting

The curriculum of IESE is great, matching probably any top business school. What really makes IESE stand out are the people, both students as well as staff. This makes IESE an amazing experience that I would no doubt recommend to anyone looking to take an MBA. -- Venture Capital/Private Equity

My life has changed. Now I have another world in front of me. Exciting new opportunities! -- Operations

For me this has been an outstanding opportunity especially from a life experience perspective. At the same time, I know that this experience may not be suited for everybody, but I would definitely recommend both the MBA and IESE to a friend. -- Marketing

My main reserve would be regarding the professional progress. I think IESE gives a great deal of importance to enrolling people in banking and consulting, so if those are not your main interests maybe I would recommend another (less expensive) school. -- Accounting

It is a great school, program and city to spend two years of your life but there is no "one size fits all" - it all depends on your expectations, strengths, and past experience if IESE is the best place for you. -- Consulting

IESE does not just give students knowledge; it teaches a lot of soft skills and self discipline that transform the person to a better one. -- Marketing

I was completely satisfied with the program, both in terms of education quality and in career option post-MBA. I would definitely recommend it to any of friends. -- Consulting
