Clemson’s MBA program, located in downtown Greenville, S.C., is well-regarded for its practical, applied approach to advanced business topics. The curriculum is designed around in-person, small classes in order to foster optimal student-teacher interaction and facilitate learning through a variety of applied and traditional methods. We partner with industry leaders to provide our students with hands-on experience, which helps them to become highly recruited, desirable candidates in today’s competitive job market. We offer both full and part-time options for completing the traditional program and work closely with each individual student to design a schedule what allows them to reach their goals and accommodate their busy lives. The newest addition to the Clemson MBA lineup is the concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This unique program is for individuals who want to start their own companies. In one year they cover the same fundamental core courses as our traditional MBA and also work to specifically develop and refine their business ideas in the effort to graduate with a market-ready company. The culmination of the MBA-e program is an exciting Investor Road Show where students compete for $40,000 of seed capital to launch their business. The Clemson Family is a global one, devoted to improving the world we all share. Current enrollment in the MBA program is made up of a diverse population with students from across the U.S. as well as international students. The program consists of approximately 334 students comprising 272 professionals attending classes part time and 62 full-time students. There are several opportunities available for students to enrich their education by studying abroad in China, Italy, Belgium, Paris, and other locations. Clemson’s MBA curriculum provides students with the background they will need to succeed in management, finance and business administration, but we also understand that theory can only go so far. It is when theoretical concepts are combined with heart and soul and applied to solving real-world problems that big things happen. Clemson MBA students believe it is the duty of community leaders to give back by participating in a variety of programs and activities that put the positive influence of business leadership coupled with compassion into action. Clemson students created and swear to uphold the MBA Oath: As a lifelong member of the Clemson Business School Community, I will proudly accept my responsibility as a business and community leader, I will have the courage to act with honesty and integrity, I will strive to enhance the character and reputation of myself, my community, and my affiliations; I will honor and respect the differences of all people, and I will conduct business within an ethical framework and strive to create sustainable, global prosperity. I pledge to hold myself accountable to these standards and set an example for others to follow. Membership in the Clemson Family doesn’t end at graduation. We provide our graduates with a network of career resources that teach them everything from how to write a resume to interview tips to networking after they land a job. Students have access to the award-winning Michelin Career Center on Clemson’s main campus, and in addition we hold an MBA-specific job fair at the downtown campus to facilitate networking and introductions of our students to top companies in the Greenville area at least once per year. Clemson is fortunate to have a dedicated and loyal alumni base who stay involved with the program long after graduation by serving as board members, doing presentations in their area of expertise for current students, or simply by facilitating relationships between current students and their network.
