  • SCHOOL COMMENTS

      • School Comments: In today's business environment, creativity is as vital as number crunching, and people and the planet are part of every equation. That is why Weatherhead's Manage by Designing and Sustainable Enterprise initiatives inform our MBA curriculum every step of the way. We integrate a system-wide perspective that comes from design into a management science that seeks value on the bottom line, and beyond.
      • -The Weatherhead School of Management has incredible professors and takes a hands-on approach towards learning. I could not have asked for a better place to learn, grow and develop my skills.

-Was not highly impressed with the student body and the quality of professors varied dramatically. Cleveland is also not a promising city in terms of the job market and future growth.

-Case Western Reserve is a fantastic institution and Weatherhead's MBA program is vastly underrated. It is clearly the best program in Ohio and one of the best in the nation.

-I think that Weatherhead is the right place for those interested in a more academic-oriented MBA. Not for those interested in the typical "B-school."

-Case has great faculty and students and I really learned a lot while I was there. The problem with a small school in Cleveland is that there are not many recruiters that come to our school. Case places well in the Midwest, but not on the coasts. With a class size of 70 students and half being international, employers can better use their resources to recruit at other schools. That being said, the quality of students is top notch at Weatherhead. Our school won three case competitions this year (ACG Cup Cleveland, CFA Institute Cleveland, Aspen Institute Global), defeating top schools such as Northwestern, Columbia, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. Great school, great faculty, great students, but need serious help in recruiting and career placement.

-The school is an excellent place for a business program if all the resources are used wisely. World-class professors, well designed curriculum, flexibility of choosing streams and subjects, and access to professors unveils incredible amount of potential in the students. An internship and opportunity to work with the management team helped grow faster since business concepts could be applied right away.

-The program is fantastic, but the career center is not. They have no reach, no clout, and hardly any ability at all to get students jobs once they graduate.

-I think Weatherhead offers an incredible array of opportunities and it is paving the way to the new frontier of how to do business. Meanwhile, the city of Cleveland has plenty to offer from entertainment to art, which fosters the academic environment nourished at Weatherhead.

-The Weatherhead School is one of the best schools for its behavioral studies. I took a couple of relevant classes and kept constant touch with the professors that helped me get much better on interpersonal development fronts. Experience with the classes such as Business Plan, Six Sigma, and so on, where I got opportunity to work directly with the companies. This gave me high level of confidence to deal with managerial problems. I would definitely recommend this school to the future students.

-They could expand the course offerings (e.g. e-marketing).
