Founded in 1926, the business college at the University of Arkansas became the Sam M. Walton College of Business in 1998. Thanks, in part, to a $50 million gift from the Walton Foundation, Walton College is recognized internationally as a premier business school. With departments of accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, marketing and supply chain management the College offers MBA programs, specialty masters degrees, as well as seven Ph.D. programs. AACSB International accredited the college in 1931 and renewed the accreditation in 2012.
