The WVU College of Commerce was born by order of the state higher education board on Nov. 10, 1951 and has been known as the College of Business and Economics since 1971. The College offers six bachelor's, six master's, and three doctoral degrees. The College has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2,000, a graduate enrollment of over 300, and more than 20,000 alumni worldwide. Business programs at the WVU College of Business & Economics are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The College of Business and Economics provides its constituencies with the skills, tools and values required to win in the global marketplace through teaching, research and service.
