-I’d like to see more foundational requirements in finance and accounting, less reliance on older (in mindset) professors, more testing of subjects, and more career placement services.
-The NYU Stern EMBA program is very well organized and it operates always in the best interests of its students. I am more than satisfied with the program and the degree that I have received.
-Accessibility is my the most concern while in my EMBA program. It could be much better if our program provided more off-campus activities as well as cooperation with other schools.
-I would like to see more respect and recognition to the EMBA program. What bothers me the most is that its own administration - including dean and deans and trustee, career service, and administrative personnel - have no respect for the program. I did a few interviews with alumni and as soon as they learned I was an EMBA, their encouraging talk became indifferent. Basically, there is no recognition amongst the EMBA, full-time and part-time alumni community for the EMBA degree.
-NYU Stern's EMBA program focuses heavily on a good classroom experience. They succeed in fostering a supportive environment where learning is easy. Accessibility is my the most concern while in my EMBA program. It could be much better if our program provided more off-campus activities as well as cooperation with other schools.
-The day-to-day experiences at NYU Stern are part of what makes the program so wonderful. The administration is first class and the services they provide are excellent.
-There are so many activities that you could take part in as part of the Stern EMBA program. There were speakers after classes, networking sessions, happy hours, round table discussions at lunch. We could also take part in activities offered by Stern's full time program, such as, clubs and other events. You could also take part in some of the full time and Langone recruiting events. We also have full access to the career development office and other career services.
-I’d like to see less student presentations and more instruction; more and more comprehensive exams to test foundational blocks of a particular course.
-Many students, as they were sponsored by their employers, were interested in getting diploma and had attitude of passing the program irrespective their contribution in their finals and assignments. Professors had similar attitude in awarding grades. There was not much experience of learning with fellow students.
-There needs to be greater use of electronic materials. Though I understand the complex copyright issues the industry faces these issues need to be resolved for the benefit of the ultimate student customer.
-The Global Study tours should be carefully chosen with regards to international relevance and importance, and should also emphasize exploration of the culture and sights of the country as well as diverse business exposure.
-Improvement in Career Services and Recruiting is required.
-There should be more quantitative work in curriculum, and more rigor in admissions and grading to weed out truly bad students. Bad professors shouldn't be allowed to teach in the program.
