-The program was awesome. I was very nervous about starting the program but the caliber of the students, support staff, and the professors really encouraged me. Every semester I became more confident and by the final semester I was able to complete an entrepreneurial project alone. I could not have completed this program without the support of my study group and the encouragement of the professors. Everyone was very responsive to my questions. It was like being part of a huge family where everyone helped you and encouraged you to be the best you can. I would recommend COX EMBA to all my friends. It is a huge investment for my future and I am looking forward to using my skills as an entrepreneur or a C-level leader.
-I would have liked to have more interaction with other classmates - outside of regular classroom hours - in order to better understand their respective backgrounds and perspective on in class work.
-I thought the Cox EMBA program was outstanding in every aspect – the caliber of classmates, instructors, facilities, materials, etc. I couldn't have asked for a better program. I was also accepted at Notre Dame and chose Cox - definitely made the right choice.
-The school would benefit from fostering interactions amongst students earlier in the program. Using simple icebreakers at the beginning, the ones we all know and hate, would have gone a long way in the early months.
-More guest speakers would have been a nice addition.
-SMU's EMBA program does not only address leadership as a subject but grants every student a chance to practice and sharpen his/her leadership skills. I personally had many opportunities to come forward as a group leader and I received constructive feedback from my colleagues and professors.
-I would have liked to see a bit more interaction by the students during class time. The school should utilize the skills and talents of the students to enhance the learning opportunities.
-The education was excellent, but the networking was amazing. The SMU network is what allowed me to change job functions during a down economy. The relationships with my classmates and professors will last a lifetime.
-SMU EMBA is a game changer in my company. Many have gone on to receive promotions and salary increases. I will be promoted to vice president at the end of the summer as a result of completing this program.
-There should be more extracurricular activities to interact with the mass student base.
-It was a combination of school management, sense of belonging, and quality interaction with fellow classmates that really made it a truly enjoyable experience for me. Right from the beginning, the students formed a bond and strong group identities that fostered learning and interaction. I think the school planned it very well with personality assessment, group dynamics and help from faculty.
-I was very impressed with the logistics and service on from a day-to-day standpoint. The team at SMU very responsive and strived to give excellent customer service top professionals trying to juggle work and school.
-The administrators were great. The day-to-day experience couldn't have been better. This is easily the best facility I have ever been around (from convenient parking to state-of-the-art classrooms, to catered meals every day...). It could not have been better unless they picked me up in a helicopter and took me to class.
