-The program exceeded my expectations. It enhanced my knowledge of business practices and provided me with several tools that I was able to apply at my current job helping me advance upward.
-I felt that the course scheduling could have been better to allow for more students to earn a concentration in addition to their MBA. I can't say enough great things about the faculty. They are all well respected in their fields, and I enjoyed really learning from them. VT is one of the few programs that offers courses in up-and-coming areas like project management, database management, and e-commerce. Those courses and experiences were most applicable for me in finding work after graduation.
-The program was excellent in terms of preparing you for new roles/challenges and providing a foundation in the various areas of business. The school did struggle to offer as many electives as I would have liked, although the courses they offered were good and the faculty genuinely made an effort to go the "extra mile" whenever you need help/guidance.
-The majority of classes taken were educational and relevant to my career and career aspirations. However, the administration and the availability of classes was not student friendly. They did not offer many summer classes unless you studied abroad. Rules were implemented that made it very difficult to graduate with any concentration or in a timely manner. Classes were cancelled last minute and even an entire concentration was cancelled without any offered help or suggestions from advisors.
-My concentration was Finance. My time to complete this program would have been reduced considerably if Finance offerings were available during the summer sessions.
-For me, it was a good experience. I learned a lot from the program but it is one of those things in life where you get out of it what you put into it. I also was put into an excellent team and we challenged each other on every deliverable which made for some great learning experiences.
-The use of virtual classrooms would help accommodate more active lifestyles.
-This is a great program with world-class instructors. I will recommend this program to all those who are interested. In fact about 5-6 people have enrolled upon my recommendation.
