-I found the quality of education and content was so valuable that not only will it help me in the future, but I could also take what I learned to work the next day and apply it. I grew in my understanding of business and it showed. During the program I received one promotion and two raises.
-I was able to take what we were learning and applying to work in real-time, seeing real results that have helped further my career. The program is so well rounded, I can now go into any department meeting and "speak the language."
-They have raised tuition too much to justify going to this school for the part-time program. There are other MBA programs within 30 miles of this school that offer an MBA for much much less. The administration did not care about student input when making vital decisions to curriculum changes.
-The faculty at DESB is exceptional as well as the student demographic. I had a great experience in the MBA program and consider a transforming experience to my personal and professional growth.
-I feel that more flexibility in class offerings would have been nice to have, but I understand that there are limited resources to teach different classes.
-The quality of professors was great. Flexibility was key in being able to attend classes. Some professors were actually in the business they were teaching which was something that was nice to have that personal testimony.
-While there were networking events for the students my #1 critique is that there wasn't a solid career services program in place for the students. While I was there the program management started to put together some career coaches but there wasn't a system or infrastructure put together where the students had great access to coaching, career placement, interviewing skills, resume building, job finding, etc.
-The program offered many opportunities for learning, growing and networking with other professionals. I would recommend the program because it has helped me better prepare for new opportunities in various industries.
-I was a little frustrated that so many of the electives indicated at the beginning of the program were not offered when it came time to enroll in them. I would have liked that additional variety to select from.
-The University of Utah is focused on build a great MBA program and it shows in everything they are doing. They have actively recruited some exceptional faculty, provide resources to students and just work to improve constantly.
-Overall, I would like to see a few more diverse electives offered.
-The program was set up in a way that was very friendly for the working professional. Student/teacher ratio made it possible for students to meet with teachers in class (office hrs are great but not so for those that are working during office hrs) and this was the case especially in the elective classes which account for quite a bit of the PMBA curriculum.
-Tuition is too high for a program that does not provide career placement or free career coaching. The program needs to focus on placing the students in job opportunities that will improve the program image and networking opportunities.
-The PMBA program at the UofU was great. The professors went above and beyond all of my expectations, and the PMBA management offices were always available for any question or concern. I went into my MBA with high expectations because of what I had heard about the U's program, and I was not let down.
-My single complaint of this program is the lack of career services. Career services are generally weak, but the services that were available were limited to career opportunities in the local area. I would appreciate the opportunity to seek careers on a national scale.
-Classes are well balanced. Most teachers were highly qualified and good. The biggest downfall is some faculty was more interested in their own research than teaching a class.
-Find a way to make tuition cheaper. The two-year program costs around $40,000 not including books and other supplies.
-The program with rich with information that was directly applicable to my career. I enjoyed the learning environment and feel that I strongly benefited from the experience.
