-I think there are a lot of great professors at the school and are very passionate that the students learn real world examples. The international opportunities are amazing.
-Overall, I really enjoyed the program and would do it again in a heartbeat at Kelley. I am proud to have met the fellow students I did and to have interacted with so many successful professors who have bestowed their worldly knowledge upon me. The biggest thing I would like to see change is that the evening MBA students experience the same success from GCS as the full-time students. Please work on tailoring that service specifically for evening students too as they probably are better prepared to utilize it anyway.
-I felt that I received a world-class education at Kelley. The faculty was fantastic, and I expect that I will keep in contact with my colleagues for years to come
-They could let people 'test out' of some of the basic core classes. For example, I am a CPA and was required to take the basic accounting class that seemed to be designed for engineers. This was not a productive use of my time - would have preferred to take an elective instead.
-The Kelley evening MBA program not only gave me a solid business education, but also connected me with a wide network of people in the local business community. I've recommended it to several other people, some of which are attending now.
-I feel like the MBA program at IUPUI was of high caliber but the learning experience was not as rich as I would have liked. The students often did not make serious attempts to get to know each other. Also too many of the exams were open book. I realize that rote memorization is not always effective but to me the point of learning is to really have the material sink in.
-The connections, knowledge and experience and Kelley was everything I had hoped for going into the program. I was not looking to bolt for a new job as soon as the ink on my diploma was dry and my commitment to school outside of work showed my current employer my potential. This lead to a promotion and salary increase 2/3's of the way through my studies.
-Being that the program is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, the business hub of the state, I would have liked to see more involvement of local business leaders in the various classes. This would have given students more insight in to the real life uses of topics discussed in class as well as more networking opportunities. I also think that there should be more effort to involve evening MBA students in some of the activities that the full time students had available to them. I realize this can be difficult given the 1.5 hour driving distance between the two programs, but I felt that evening MBA students weren't even invited to participate.
-This program offers a variety of courses, especially in relatively new areas like health care. Additionally, it provides Enterprise experiences in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Global Supply Chain that gives students valuable real world experience in those areas. Another benefit is the career development programs that prepare students for placement.
-I think Kelley program's biggest drawback is the location…being in Indianapolis hurts the students who are looking for career change. There are limited opportunities in Indiana. Hosting Kelley events nationwide in the large cities with Kelley alumni would help next Kelley grad network and find advancement opportunities.
-The most impressive quality of Kelley instructors is their willingness to engage both inside and outside of the classroom. They participate in business and academic discussions, but are also willing to engage in social gatherings. They are at the top of their fields and show a genuine interest in student success.
