School Comments:
The Notre Dame MBA at the Mendoza College of Business is designed to sharpen students’ analytical and problem-solving skills, enhance their leadership ability and increase emphasis on ethical decision making. Students have the opportunity to study the complexities of global business through international immersions in Asia, Latin America and other locations.

-My undergraduate institution allowed me to mature as a person. Notre Dame has allowed me to mature as a professional. I feel prepared to handle just about any situation in both a personal and professional setting because of my education at Notre Dame.
-The Mendoza College of Business is one of the premiere business schools in the nation with an awesome alumni base and the ability to place graduates all over the country. Most business schools besides the top few are regional schools, whereas the Notre Dame name carries across the country like no other schools. No matter where you are from, if you tell people you are going to Notre Dame they are impressed. The same goes for employers.
-The Notre Dame MBA carries a surprisingly strong presence on Wall Street and in any region across the country. The professors and academic rigor I would argue rivals even the best B-schools especially in advanced derivatives finance and investment banking accounting. An MBA also goes beyond academics and if there is anything Notre Dame is known for is its commitment to moral, ethical teaching and camaraderie amongst peers.
-The curriculum has challenging and engaging courses including new business analytics courses. On top of that, the career services is bolstered by an extremely strong alumni and school recognition within industry. In addition to usual B-school company campus visits, over half of my final round interviews were in some way helped by alumni connections.
-The network of Notre Dame is worth the cost of tuition itself. Being a part of the network going forward will no doubt continue to benefit it me in many aspects of my life, not just my career. The push towards making a difference and being ethical is very comforting. It is great to know that there are educational institutions that are trying to raise up students who want to have an honest impact on the world.
-Professors were disappointing. Many brought their ridiculously liberal views into the classroom and attempted to indoctrinate the students. I was also extremely disappointed with career services.
-Notre Dame is a special place and is more than a MBA factory. The faculty and administration value the dignity of individuals and foster a collaborative environment. Thus, it may not be for the ultra aggressive typical MBA types. The football games create strong camaraderie among the cohort and alumni. As a result, the alumni are engaged and energetic to help. For example, I got four final round interviews directly from reaching out to the alumni and will likely be accepting one of them.
-My experience at Notre Dame has been simply magical. The program is relatively small, so everyone gets to know one another well. There is a strong emphasis on values and teamwork, and the experience truly exceeded all my expectations. I had the opportunity to travel significantly and learn about business on five continents. I had the opportunity to start a club focusing on global business with tremendous support from the MBA Administration. Also, real world case studies are emphasized in almost every class. This emphasis gives students the foundation to compete and be successful in many case competitions.
-In addition to vastly expanding and refining my prior knowledge of business principles, the Notre Dame MBA challenged me to open my mind to new frames of thought, new ways to view problems, and the world of possibilities surrounding my personal future as a professional. Simply walking around Notre Dame's campus, you know, you feel that you are in a very special place. Everyone there loves being there. You can tell. Once you graduate, you are part of the greatest alumni network in the world today. If that isn't reason enough to head to Northern Indiana, then I don't know what is.
-One of the most unique and best aspects of the Notre Dame MBA is the 'inter-term intensive' which exposes students to real-time 'live' business problems currently faced by companies (including some of the largest corporations in the world) and provides students an opportunity for consulting and business problem solving.
-The career services office needs improvement. They failed to attract top companies despite the fact that the companies were already on campus interviewing undergrads. Rather than acknowledge the shortcoming of on campus interviews, the career center tried to blame students for not networking off campus.
