      • -The Intensive MBA program at HEC Montreal is highly integrated. For example, a marketing course will not exclusively contain marketing content. Instead there is an emphasis of marketing concepts that are integrated with elements of finance, strategy, and operations. Similarly, the finance course emphasizes financial concepts while including elements of marketing, strategy and operations. This type of integrated learning mirrors a spiral studying approach. It reinforces the learned concepts throughout the MBA program.

-The program is intensive and allows you to fully focus your efforts and time on school. After one year, you are ready to apply the knowledge you've acquired in new endeavors. Not only do you gain academically but you learn so much about yourself and in my opinion, are better prepared to find a career path that compliments your abilities and allows you to show case your capabilities. The MBA program was definitely worth all the sacrifices I had to make in the past year.

-The school didn't meet my expectations, more precisely in terms of teaching staff quality and career services. I might recommend the school, but only on a case-to-case basis.

-I believe that HEC Montreal is one of the "best kept secrets" in business education in North America. The intensive one-year program provides a thorough grounding in the key skills that managers need to succeed, as well as an immersive insight into the cultural dimensions of managing (nearly half of the cohort each year are foreign-born students). The program operates in English and French, and allows students to perfect their skills in both languages while not being disadvantaged while they learn. HEC's deep expertise in energy management was also a perfect way to prepare me for entry into that field. All of this education is offered at one of the most affordable MBA tuition rates in North America, making the degree an immensely positive cost/benefit trade off.

-No business school is perfect. However, I think HEC Montreal gave me exactly what I wanted an expected from an MBA school. I think its size gives it flexibility and intimacy with students and professors that other schools cannot do.

-I think HEC Montreal gives quality education at very affordable prices. Career services could do a better job at placing non-French candidates. Alumni network is not well organized to tap on resources and find jobs, etc. The major disadvantage we face is that many of the resources (other than the mandatory ones needed to do the course) are in French.

-I am very glad to have had the opportunity to do my MBA at HEC Montreal. It has proven to be very useful and I am sure it will continue to be useful in the future. The internationality and the experience in the program make it quite interesting.

-Too much focus on GMAT scores caused a low age average for my class and a lot of inexperienced people.
-There is not enough focus on ethics, soft-skills or sustainable development (SD). These three aspects should be integrated in all the courses.
-There should be a mechanism to deal with "free riders" when working in teams.
