-Georgia Tech offers a fantastic program for both education and professional growth as a student. As an engineering undergrad student, the students and faculty here did a fantastic job of providing a foundation of business knowledge for me to succeed. At the same time, they were able to foster strong critical thinking skills to effectively enable me to perform strategic analyses of a wide variety of business situations.
-There are multiple things making GA Tech MBA program unique and very satisfactory: 1. Class size: 75 person, perfect number! Big enough to have multiple cultures, backgrounds, personalities; Small enough that allows us to feel like a big family. 2. Friendly administration: Students thoughts are valued. We all know that doors are open and we can share our thoughts and needs about class schedules, contents, and we all know that our demands are taken into account. 3. Quality professors: In all areas, GA Tech MBA program has outstanding professors.
-The smaller size of GT's program is a big selling point in my mind. You have easy access to professors and a very collaborative, close-knit group of students in each class. The students, facilities, and professors are top-notch. Although there are a good number of former engineers (myself included), the program has plenty of diversity with regard to student backgrounds. Finally, it would also depend on what concentration an interested person wanted to pursue, as I would recommend GT for just about every concentration except for finance.
-Georgia Tech's MBA is very good at certain specialties and not that strong in others. If a friend wanted to get into investment banking on wall street I would probably not recommend Georgia Tech.
-The close bonds with our cohort and with alumni (due to our small size) provides a great networking experience. In addition, Georgia Tech has a very technologically and technically focused program, which is incredibly valuable in the marketplace. I was able to greatly increase my salary, change career fields, and make excellent contacts while paying the lowest tuition of any top school. The cost/benefit ratio for Georgia Tech was excellent.
-This program can be described as "you get what you pay for". The quality of education was appropriate for the tuition level (close to the bottom for MBA programs) but the school doubled tuition rates starting in Fall 2010 which makes the "return on investment" unworthy of recommendation. Further, the Job Placement office was not very helpful and treated each student as a number. The emphasis was on finding any job and meeting their placement numbers, not finding the right job for each individual. There is also a definite sense of "favoritism" for those students who attended Georgia Tech as an undergrad which sours the experience for those who took on the new challenge of attending a new university.
-The quality of education and opportunities for leadership within this program allow for personal development in a variety of areas. The program provides a solid core curriculum and the ability to tailor the program to meet your needs, and I think all students have benefited from this program structure.
-For the money, students receive a stellar education, in a fabulous city, along-side a small, elite group of peers. Corporate hiring is broad and deep, with plenty of local high tech startups to wet the pallet of entrepreneurs. Faculty is top notch, facilities are modern (and maintained that way). I leave with a job at a top pharma outfit with zero debt.
-I enjoyed everything about my experience at Georgia Tech - faculty, administration, fellow classmates, career services, and alumni. I had a lot of opportunities to take leadership on projects, work with executives from local and national companies, and improve my skills so that I was set up for success in my current post-graduation position. If I had the chance to re-do my MBA experience, I would not change a thing.
-The MBA Career Services office is absolutely outstanding. Each student has an adviser that acts as his or her personal coach throughout the recruiting and acceptance process, to the extent that close, personal relationships are formed. They will go to any length to help a student land his or her "dream job."
