-It is hard to quantify the value of the Oxford EMBA program. Was it difficult to fit into work/life? Yes! But did it completely challenge my perspective, thought process, skill set, and introduce me to life-long friends? Yes!
-The group was highly diverse and very inspiring. One could get the best out of the friendships and opportunities the school managed to put together. It passed my expectations because I would have never thought to run two new businesses after the program. I am extremely glad.
-My main reason for applying to Said Business School was the unique environment of an old university with high standards and a young, modern business school where the focus is not on getting a manual on how to act in certain conditions, but rather to understand the underlying causes and relations to be able to come up with unique solutions. An inspiring environment in which very diverse colleagues reflect on problems from very different angles, guided by extraordinary lecturers. Where else do you get a lecturer in accounting who actually has a Ph.D. in philosophy?
-I was glad I went to Oxford. I have learned a considerable amount. I was unsure of what an EMBA could teach me after 21 years in business, but I have been pleasantly surprised.
-The proportion of electives could be increased. The execs know the basic stuff, but they come to develop competences in specific areas.
-It was an excellent and unique program, not just an EMBA but a wider education, including a full exploration of corporate social responsibility and the role we have to play in it.
-Adding more electives, as is the case with full-time MBAs, would be helpful. The careers center was excellent but only after I initiated things because I left my old job. Traditionally, companies sponsored EMBA students, so there would be a conflict of interest with a strong career center presence. But because of the economic climate, only a handful of classmates received company funding. For the rest of us who were self-funded, it would be useful to take advantage of the excellent career services available to the full-time MBAs.
-This was a great EMBA program! Oxford has put in much effort in making this one of the top EMBA programs in the world, and the students have enjoyed strong bonds of friendship. They also have learned much from each other. Faculty and staff are very experienced and helpful.
-I would have preferred less traditional, detailed finance study, (I have departments to do this for me) and more about running businesses and managing people, and making decisions and judgments.
-Oxford should put more effort in promoting the successes of its student body. There are some groundbreakers.
