Significant changes since 1997
Changes in the past several years have focused on the operational aspects of the EMIM program - enhanced customer service, increased use of technology for communicating and as a teaching/research tool, and the creation of a more efficient internal operation.
There has also been an increased focus on marketing resulting in a 30% increase in the enrollment since 1997. Plans for 1999-2000 include a major review of the curriculum and revisions where necessary to reflect changing client demands and interests, as well as planned expansion of the program to several overseas locations.

Special trips or projects outside of country
There are two weeklong international trips during T-bird's two-year program - one at the end of the first year to Guadalajara, Mexico and one near the end of the second year to either Asia or Europe. Output from these trips and participation by the students are part of the assignments for specific courses in the curriculum. Faculty members accompany the class to facilitate the learning through daily debriefings. As foreign language study is included in the curriculum, these trips are also an opportunity for the students to practice their new language skills.

Programs for the spouses of Executive MBA candidates
There is a one day program for spouses and partners during the opening Residence Week in which they learn about the program and its rigors from a number of perspectives including a panel of Alumni spouses. They participate in a case study discussion. They are introduced to a number of the teaching methods and to some of the support services on campus, including spouse clubs and an Internet communication tool dedicated for their use. During the two year program a number of social events for the entire student family are held.
